Every student is capable of achieving success in their learning and it is our goal to help them find success! Here at Cocoon Learning, our philosophy is rooted in the idea that students learn best when they are treated as complete, unique individuals and when they are treated as equal partners in the learning process. When working with a student, we strive to be more than just “tutors” - we want to be seen as a trusted partner in their learning journey who can help them unlock new levels of growth and understanding. Whether a student is working on Ivy League applications while balancing a demanding AP course load, has a documented learning disability and is struggling with executive functions, or falls anywhere in between, our team is ready to jump in and help them thrive.
All of our Cocoon Learning services are offered either in person as well as virtually. Our team is prepared to come work with students in their home or to meet with them using an online platform. At this time, please note that in person services are only available in NYC and Westchester, NY.

Tutoring services are designed to work in tandem with classroom teaching by extending opportunities for instructional moments and reinforcing learning while finding ways to help students form authentic connections to the material.

Writing essays for college applications can be a daunting task! Our college essay writing support program provides students with one on one guidance and feedback on how to find their story and tell it in a way that makes them shine. Sessions will cover the entire process including idea formation, structuring a narrative, and writing feedback.

Work with a school psychology specialist to receive personalized support in overcoming executive functioning challenges and learning strategies that will help in school and beyond.
